Activities at Central

Worship:
Sunday Morning Worship Service starts at 10:00 AM.
Special services to lift up the important emphases of the church year are planned for all who wish to set aside special times for worship.
Bible Study:
Sunday Morning Bible Study and Sunday school starts at 9:00 AM.
Monday morning Bible Study is held each week at 11:00 AM.  This is an opportunity to further explore the scriptures of the previous day’s worship service.
Outreach:
Our outreach ministries include support of the work of the world mission of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the cooperative work of Manatee Religious Services, which seeks to meet the needs of the hungry and needy in our community.  We have also dedicated a Habitat for Humanity house near our facility. Many of our members provide hundreds of hours of volunteer service each year to organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics, etc.
Central has been working with Family Promise of Manatee County, Inc. to become their Day Center location.  Family Promise will help homeless families with children who are in crisis situations.  The Day Center will be located at our facility, but will be managed by the staff and volunteers of Family Promise.  The Day Center will be the central location where the families will be able to bathe, find employment if needed, and find housing.  A case worker will help each family through the process.  We are excited to be a part of an organization that is combating homelessness one family at a time.
Fellowship:
On the first Sunday of each month we gather in our Fellowship Hall following the morning worship service and have a potluck luncheon.  All are invited.  Bring a dish to share or just bring yourself.
Each Monday an informal gathering of those who wish to share together create the Munch Bunch, which gathers at a different local restaurant each week at 5:00 PM.  For a listing of each month’s restraint locations, please see the Link, or call the church office.
We have numerous fellowship (social) activities. Please check the Link (our monthly newsletter) or call the church office for current fellowship information.
Note:
All activities, including our weekly worship service, meetings, classes, studies and other groups are all open participation. Everyone is always welcome!
