Activities at Central
WORSHIP -- Sunday Morning Worship Service starts at 10:00 AM and usually last for about an hour. We now have Children's Sunday School during the service for children of any age.
BIBLE STUDY -- Sunday Morning Bible Study and Sunday school starts at 9:00 AM.
Monday afternoon Bible Study is held each week at 3:30 PM.  This is an opportunity to further explore the scriptures of the previous day’s worship service.
OUTREACH -- Our outreach ministries include support of the work of the world mission of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the cooperative work of Manatee Religious Services, which seeks to meet the needs of the hungry and needy in our community.  We have also dedicated a Habitat for Humanity house near our facility. Many of our members provide hundreds of hours of volunteer service each year to organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics, etc.
Central has been working with Family Promise of Manatee County, Inc. and has become their Day Center location.  Family Promise helps homeless families with children who are in crisis situations.  The Day Center is located at our facility, and is managed by the staff and volunteers of Family Promise.  The Day Center is the central location where the families are able to bathe, find employment if needed, and find housing.  A case worker helps each family through the process.  We are excited to be a part of an organization that is combating homelessness one family at a time. Central is also home to a Narcotics Anonymous group. They meet daily from 6:15 to 7:15 PM in our fellowship hall.
FELLOWSHIP -- On the first Sunday of each month we gather in our Fellowship Hall following the morning worship service and have a potluck luncheon.  All are invited.  Bring a dish to share or just bring yourself.
On the second and fourth Monday, each month,an informal gathering of those who wish to share together create the Munch Bunch, which gathers at a different local restaurant each week at 5:00 PM.  For a listing of each month’s restaurant locations, please see the Link, or call the church office.
We have numerous fellowship (social) activities. Please check the Link (our monthly newsletter) or call the church office for current fellowship information.
NOTE -- All activities, including our weekly worship service, meetings, classes, studies and other groups are all open participation. Everyone is always welcome!
